Through the use of dedicated hardware and software it is possible to effectively simulate the execution of an ultrasound examination without the need to access clinics nor expensive instrumentation. Thanks to the use of specific ultrasound imaging reconstruction techniques starting from CT scans, it is possible to obtain access to a virtually unlimited number of physiological and pathological clinical presentations

The trainee will be provided with an ultrasound probe simulacrum and the necessary hardware to be able to track its position during the whole training session. They can therefore view the corresponding ultrasound images obtained from a real patient on any screen.

Currently the training of medical students and residents in the ultrasound field is very limited by the availability of echographic machines and by the need to practice on patients even to learn the basics. Our system would allow to simulate an ultrasound examination without the need for a real US device, providing unlimited time of practice.
E-LEARNING
Our system adds a practical and realistic element to implement in online courses. Not only can the student practice with a real object by performing the necessary movements in their entirety, but their performance can also be recorded and evaluated by the teacher, in real time or at any time thereafter.
